Membership

Becoming a member of the Pre-PA Society is easy! No application form is required. All you need to do is:

 

  1. Pay your dues

    • $25 for 1 semester (Fall or Spring) or $40 for the full year (Fall + Spring)

      • Late fees are now implemented as of October 2022, being $30 for 1 semester (​Fall or Spring) or $50 for the full year (Fall + Spring)
      • Dues do not roll over into the following school year. This means paying dues for 1 full year is only available in the Fall. ​

    • Methods of payment:

      • Cash

      • Check- make it out to "Pre-Physician Assistant Society"

      • PayPal (credit card or bank account)- pay on the Online Store page

      • CashApp 

      • Venmo

  2. Join the list serve to receive the latest announcements via email

  3. Attend 3 out of the 6 general meetings per semester

    • If you have a schedule conflict, send us proof and you can substitute 2 extra volunteer points + 1 extra social event

  4. Achieve active status by attending events throughout the semester:

    • Volunteering:  8 points

      • 1 hour = 1 point

      • At least 4 points must be submitted from Pre-PA sponsored events for this semester.

    • Fundraising:  2 points​

    • Social:  2 points ​

    • Philanthropy:  3 points (optional)

      • 3+ points earns you a Philanthropy Certificate to put on your CASPA application!

    • Professional Development: 5 points (optional)​

      • 5+ points earns you a Professional Development Certificate to put on your CASPA​ application!

    • Flex Points (can be applied to ANY category):

      • 0.25 points: Send a picture of you in any Pre-PA gear (can be applied once)

      • 1.0 point: Attend TAPA

      • and more!
